    Our focus areas

    Sustainability

Organic, local, environmentally and socially responsible – for over 30 years. Here we show concretely what that means in everyday life, without greenwashing.

    Gastronomy – organic-certified

Our entire gastronomy is fully organic-certified (DE-ÖKO-012).

    • Organic breakfast for our hotel guests – fresh every day.
    • Organic lunch with a weekly changing menu and seasonal produce.
    • Organic catering on request – with exclusively organic ingredients.
    • Close cooperation with selected farms, butchers and organic suppliers.

    Ecological & resource-saving

We look after ecology and resources throughout the house.

From cleaning products to soap – we use ecological products throughout the house.

For you as a guest: Organic shampoo, ecological soaps and toiletries in the rooms – towel changes and room cleaning on request rather than by default.

Energy- and heat-efficient self-supply – plus rainwater from our own cistern.

For you as a guest: Toilets are flushed with rainwater from our own cistern. The water may occasionally look slightly tinted – completely harmless and simply part of our water cycle.

We consistently avoid single-use plastic products – in the hotel and in our restaurant.

For you as a guest: No single-use products in the rooms, deposit containers for takeaway food and biodegradable receipts in the restaurant.

    Social responsibility

Fair employment in-house and lived solidarity with our neighbourhood.

    • All team members are directly employed by us – from housekeeping to maintenance.
    • A good working atmosphere, flat hierarchies and long-standing teams.
    • Cooperation with the association "Leben im Abseits": we provide five hotel rooms as part of a Housing First programme for people experiencing homelessness.
    • Our organic lunch is a meeting point for the neighbourhood – soup and stew stay deliberately affordable.
