School classes, clubs and travel groups are explicitly welcome. We plan rooms, meals and schedule personally with you.
Our organic restaurant is open to hotel guests and the neighbourhood alike. The weekly menu changes every week and uses ingredients mainly from Hamburg and northern Germany.
Every morning we lay out an organic breakfast buffet for our hotel guests – optional to book, with gluten-free rolls and packed lunches on request.
Outside of service hours, the restaurant's guest room is our cosy lounge for all hotel guests.
Whether a company celebration, birthday, conference or memorial gathering: at the Schanzenstern you celebrate sustainably and with personal service – in-house for up to 40 guests or off-site with our organic catering across Hamburg and beyond.
Ottensen, the Elbe, Schanze, the harbour – many of Hamburg's best spots are most beautiful by bike. We rent bikes directly at the hotel for our guests.
As a Bett+Bike business we are officially recognised by the ADFC as a cycle-friendly hotel and well prepared for cyclists – many of our guests arrive via the Elberadweg. A lockable bike shed in the courtyard is available for your own bike.
Location & directions
We say what we do and show where it comes from. Organic, energy-refurbished and with fair working conditions – sustainable tourism isn't a footnote for us, it's the foundation.
We are set up for guests with reduced mobility: automatic doors in the entrance area, a lift directly from the foyer and several rooms with wheelchair-accessible bathrooms.
